Job summary

Ward North American is seeking a Claims Specialist – Moving & Storage to join our San Antonio office. You will manage claims from submission to settlement, reviewing moving records to determine liability and coordinating with customers, drivers, and internal teams.

The role requires strong data entry, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential; prior moving/logistics claims experience is

• Strong reading comprehension and ability to interpret detailed documentation.
• Basic accounting/math skills for settlements, liability, and chargebacks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable making decisions and communicating liability to responsible parties.
• Able to work independently and follow claims through to completion.
• Previous claims, moving & storage, transportation, logistics, or related experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate claim files, notes, documentation, and follow-up tasks.

• Identify responsible parties and communicate financial liability when applicable.
• Communicate claim decisions professionally with customers, drivers, agents, vendors, and internal teams.
• Handle difficult conversations and disputes professionally and confidently.
• Follow established daily tasks, procedures, and timelines while managing a high-volume workload.

Claims Specialist – Moving & Storage

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Position: Full-Time
