Job summary

Florida Department of Law Enforcement is seeking a Criminal Justice Information Consultant II to support the Applicant Services Unit, AFRNP, NGI Rap Back, and related programs from its Tallahassee area offices. The role requires NCIC/FCIC certification and the ability to work independently and in teams on complex data projects.

• Expertise with CWCS, SHIELD, CCHInet and related systems.
• Ability to gather and analyze data to support decisions.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• NCIC/FCIC certification as required by FCIC.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert for Applicant Services Unit systems.
• Provide on-going quality assurance and recommend resolutions.
• Coordinate maintenance with ITS to meet goals and statutory requirements.
• Participate in requirements gathering and communicate needs for Applicant Services systems.
• Act as system testing expert for changes, upgrades and new functionality.
• Troubleshoot issues and document problems with the help of technology staff.
• Compile, analyze, and organize data to support complex tasks and recommendations.
