Job summary

Florida Department of Law Enforcement is seeking a Criminal Justice Information Consultant II to provide management consulting services for CJIS information programs. The role supports the southern service area and requires travel up to 25% to engage with local, state, and federal agencies.

The incumbent will work independently and in teams to enhance operational procedures, evaluate information needs, and contribute to CJIS policy and documentation efforts.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of data collection and analysis.
• Understanding of basic management principles and practices.
• Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to improve management practices.
• Ability to organize data into logical format for reports and documents.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate assignments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide management consulting services to improve CJIS information programs.
• Consult with agencies to evaluate information needs and capabilities.
• Assist in policy and procedure development impacting agencies.
• Prepare memorandums, white papers and CJIS topic papers.
• Conduct service area assessments and propose improvements.
• Identify data collection needs and documentation for implementations.
