Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Civil Superintendent to lead field execution for simple and combined cycle power projects. You will manage civil scopes, coordinate with craft supervision and field engineering, and ensure safe, high‑quality work to keep critical energy infrastructure on schedule.

The role requires 5+ years of field leadership, strong scheduling and cost-tracking skills, and a focus on safety and quality in a demanding construction environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction field leadership on equivalent projects.
• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Strong ability to lead general foremen and craft teams in a field setting.
• Experience with earthwork, grading, concrete, foundations, and undergrounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil construction execution on simple cycle and combined cycle projects.
• Monitor field activities against CPM schedule and report milestones.
• Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and project controls to keep work moving safely.
• Review drawings, specs, and work packages for scope and installation details.
• Develop 3-week look‑ahead schedules and ensure material availability.
• Conduct planning discussions to align safety, productivity, and plans.
• Track productivity, costs, and schedule progress; implement corrective actions.
• Develop Job Hazard Analyses and reinforce safety standards in the field.
• Assist with contractor information requests and change management as needed.
• Provide coaching and development support to foremen and craft professionals.
