Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering is required.
• PE is preferred - EIT may be considered.
• 5-7 years’ experience in design in a mix of residential, commercial, industrial settings.
• Experience working in the field is a benefit.
• 25-30%+ travel.
• Ability to work in inclement weather and at height (roofs/scaffolding).
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with strict timelines.

Responsibilities

• Investigate the origin and cause of failures, damages, or defects in civil/structural fields across residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
• Analyze failures, evaluate construction quality, and review design or maintenance procedures.
• Perform field investigations, lead multi-party examinations and document damaged property.
• Research failure modes and code requirements; prepare repair/remediation recommendations.
• Prepare reports and letters outlining origin and cause of damages for clients.
• Manage/work with multi-disciplinary teams on large, complex assignments.
