Job summary

GBA Companies is seeking a Civil Site Engineer Intern for our Lenexa, KS and Austin, TX locations. The role supports development of drawings, calculations, and reports under supervision, with field investigations to back project needs.

Assist in design documentation, project meetings, and data organization to ensure conformance with standards. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Civil Engineering BS/MS with AutoCAD and Excel experience, a 2.7 GPA or higher, and prior internships or related

Qualifications

Pursuing BS or MS in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
Experience with AutoCAD and Excel software is preferred.
Experience with transportation and bridge related projects or internships is preferred.
Finished at least two years of school.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing engineering drawings, design layouts, and construction documents.
Perform basic engineering calculations for grading, drainage, and utilities.
Conduct field investigations, collect measurements, and document site conditions.
Prepare technical reports and design documentation for review.
Apply established engineering standards, guidelines, and project requirements.
Maintain and organize project files, drawings, and technical documentation.
Participate in project meetings and coordinate tasks with team members.
Other duties as assigned.
