Job summary

GBA Team is seeking a Civil Site Engineer Intern to support site development projects in Lenexa, KS and Austin. You will assist in preparing drawings, calculations, and technical reports while conducting field investigations to support project needs.

Guidance will be provided by supervising engineers to ensure adherence to standards and project requirements. You will gain experience with transportation and bridge-related projects, learn to document site conditions, and participate in meetings

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in Civil Engineering or other related field from accredited program.
• Strong communication skills both oral and written are desirable.
• Finished at least two years of school and/or related internship experience is a plus.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Excel is preferred.
• Experience with transportation and bridge related projects or internships is preferred.
• 27 GPA strongly preferred.

The Civil Engineer Site Development Intern is responsible for assisting in the development of engineering drawings calculations and technical reports under supervision while conducting research and field investigations to support project needs This role provides design analysis and documentation support to project engineers ensuring all work complies with established engineering standards and specific project requirements

What Youll Do

What Youll Bring

• Pursuing BS or MS in Civil Engineering or other related field from accredited program

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to sit stand walk around the office for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
• Travel
• Ability to travel as needed based on job level and expertise for project site & field visits conferences training and professional outings
• Occasional day trips or overnight travel may be required including other GBA offices
• Must maintain a valid drivers license and an insurable driving record under the companys insurance carrier requirements to operate or rent vehicles for business purposes
