Job summary

GBA is seeking a Civil Site Engineer Intern to support drawings, calculations and technical reports under supervision in Lenexa, KS and Austin. You will assist in design layouts and construction documents for transportation and bridge projects.

You will conduct field investigations, collect measurements, document site conditions, and prepare technical reports. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential as you pursue a Civil Engineering degree with at least two years of study.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• GPA 3.0+ strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Excel preferred.
• Two years of college coursework completed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing engineering drawings, design layouts and construction documents.
• Perform basic engineering calculations for grading, drainage and utilities.
• Conduct field investigations, collect measurements and document site conditions.
• Prepare technical reports and design documentation for review.
• Apply established engineering standards, guidelines and project requirements.
• Maintain and organize project files, drawings and technical documentation.
• Participate in project meetings and coordinate tasks with team members.
• Other duties as assigned.
