Job summary

B&S Site Development is a rapid-growth civil contractor delivering complex site work across Virginia and adjacent regions. The Project Engineer will support planning, budgeting, scheduling, and field coordination on multiple sites, working with field managers and a Project Manager to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.

The role requires a BS in a related field, strong organizational and communication skills, OSHA certification, and demonstrated leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related discipline.
• Organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use software for collaboration and time management, including Office, Bluebeam and Excel.
• Strong time management and analytical skills.
• Firm understanding of complex mathematical concepts.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• OSHA 10/30 required.
• 1 year of construction management experience in estimating, operations and/or engineering preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular meetings with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Maintain and monitor project budgets and forecasts.
• Track project performance including milestones and quality metrics.
• Document and report project progress through logs and reports.
• Coordinate with field personnel, Superintendents and Foremen.
• Manage material procurement and delivery schedules.
• Assist with project scheduling and critical path activities.
• Support quality control to meet specs and regulatory requirements.
• Review and interpret construction plans and communicate changes to field teams.
• Identify and resolve project issues with the PM and field leadership.
