SGM INC is seeking a Civil Engineer III to join our Glenwood Springs, Colorado office. This full-time, in-office role requires regular attendance at one of our office locations and offers opportunities on land development, infrastructure, and municipal projects.

The candidate will work with AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydrologic modeling tools, and MS Office to deliver practical engineering solutions. A PE license and 5–10 years of experience are preferred, with potential for growth within a dynamic Rocky

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field is required or equivalent.
• PE Certification or ability to obtain in the first year of employment.
• Minimum 5–10 years of engineering work experience.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D required; CAD knowledge expansion encouraged.

Salary Range: $89,600.00 To $115,600.00 Annually

SGM is seeking a Civil EngineerIII to join our Glenwood Springs, Colorado office. This position is based primarily in-office and is not considered a remote role. Regular attendance at one of our office locations is required.

At SGM, our Civil Team works on some of the most complex and rewarding projects in the Rocky Mountain West. Our engineers deliver innovative solutions for commercial, residential, municipal, and institutional site development projects, ranging from high-end mountain residences and large ranch estates to schools, public infrastructure improvements, and mixed-use developments. We partner with local governments, ski resorts, developers, architects, and property owners to solve challenging engineering problems related to land development, infrastructure, grading, drainage, utilities, transportation, and floodplain management. Our work combines practical engineering with creative problem-solving in some of Colorado's most dynamic and beautiful mountain communities.

Minimum Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field
• PE Certification or ability to obtain in the first year of employment
• Minimum 5-10 years engineering work experience
• Organized, fast learner, and detail oriented
• Ability to execute well-defined technical and engineering tasks
• Strong familiarity and working knowledge in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D design software with interest to expand CAD knowledge base. Ability to use Civil 3D as a design tool.
• Experience in general civil engineering and municipal engineering work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Able to conduct site visits in a mountain environment

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Current Colorado PE license in civil engineering or related field
• Experience in Geotechnical Engineering
• Experience in Structural Engineering
• Surveying experience
• GPS/GIS experience
• Construction project administration and oversight experience
• Master’s degree in civil engineering or related field
• An active member of relevant professional organizations
• Demonstrated initiative and participation in community involvement and outreach
