SGM INC in Glenwood Springs, CO is seeking a Civil Engineer IV to join our in-office team. The position focuses on land development, infrastructure, and multi-disciplinary projects with responsibility for scope, budget, and schedule on smaller to mid-size projects.

The ideal candidate will have a PE license in Colorado or reciprocity within 90 days, strong CAD and hydrology skills, and proven leadership abilities to mentor junior staff and collaborate with clients and public entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Colorado PE license or eligible by reciprocity within 90 days.
• Expert in Civil 3D and hydraulic analysis software.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scopes and budgets with modest input from others.
• Routinely lead smaller proposal efforts and assist with others.
• Manage scope, budget, and schedule for small- to mid-size projects.
• Lead development of project calculations and deliverables.
• May serve as Engineer-of-Record and review work for clients.
• Mentor junior staff and assist with client relations.
