Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Site Design Intern to join our civil site design team in Fort Worth, TX.

You will apply coursework to land development projects, from small commercial pads to large residential subdivisions, under the guidance of Senior Engineers. You will learn to apply standards (ASCE, stormwater codes) and assist with grading, drainage, utility and erosion control plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, while gaining field exposure and coordinating with surveyors and

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited undergraduate engineering program.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to learn in a cross-disciplinary environment.
• Willingness to attend site visits and outdoor work.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in preparing grading, drainage, utility, and erosion control plans.
• Perform preliminary stormwater and utility calculations for layout and design.
• Prepare and revise construction plan sets using AutoCAD Civil 3D under supervision.
• Assist with permitting submittals and respond to review comments.
• Coordinate with surveyors, landscape architects, and planners to integrate site design.
• Travel to project sites to observe conditions and support field activities.
