Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Site Design Intern to join a civil site design team.

You will assist in grading, drainage, utility, and erosion control plans for residential and commercial site development projects, applying industry standards and collaborating with Senior Engineers. The role offers exposure to ASCE standards, local stormwater codes, and jurisdictional design criteria, with opportunities to contribute to real-world land development work and travel to project

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABET-accredited undergrad engineering program, Civil Engineering preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication with clients and team members.
• Willingness to learn in a cross-disciplinary environment.
• Willingness to attend site visits and perform outdoor field work.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in preparing grading, drainage, utility, and erosion control plans for site development projects.
• Perform preliminary stormwater and utility calculations to support layout and design.
• Prepare and revise construction plan sets and specs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Assist with permitting submittals and respond to review comments.
• Coordinate with surveyors, landscape architects, and planners to integrate site design.
• Travel to project sites to observe conditions and support construction administration.
