Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an experienced Civil Rights Specialist to support investigations and resolutions of complaints, analyze risks, and maintain compliant documentation. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, public policy, legal studies, healthcare administration, or related clinical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in civil rights, disability rights, investigations, or program development with equity focus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with diplomacy across patients, clinicians, legal counsel and leadership.
• Ability to analyze, evaluate and advise on complex civil rights and cultural equity issues in healthcare settings.
• Familiarity with ADA, Section 1557, Title VI, and CMS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support and conduct investigations and resolutions of civil rights and language access complaints.
• Identify, analyze, mitigate and prevent risk related to civil rights concerns.
• Maintain confidential documentation of complaints, investigations, and resolutions per policies.
• Lead tracking, analysis and reporting of civil rights and language access complaints for enterprise insights.
• Coordinate collection and validation of patient demographic data for regulatory reporting.
