Job summary

Orion External Careers seeks a Civil Project Manager to oversee multiple projects, ensuring safety, budget, and schedule compliance. You will coordinate with site supervision, subcontractors, and vendors to deliver projects from design through closeout.

The role combines office and field work with travel to job sites and client meetings. A bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Five years of relevant field experience.
• Heavy civil construction experience preferred.
• Knowledge of project management, scheduling, and estimating.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Ensure project safety while meeting budget, schedule, quality standards and design specs.
• Create and maintain project schedule; monitor critical path dates and milestones.
• Coordinate with Project Superintendent on labor, equipment, subs, and material suppliers.
• Prepare Subcontracts and Purchase Orders with appropriate support and oversight.
• Manage change orders and RFPs and provide job progress reports.
• Maintain relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Identify cost- and schedule-related issues and communicate them to leadership.
• Aide the estimating department as needed and train project engineers.
