Job summary

Core States Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to manage planning, design, and construction across a range of civil engineering projects. You will ensure timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality, while coordinating resources and guiding team members.

The role emphasizes cross-team collaboration to support project outcomes and organizational growth, with a hybrid work setup based at multiple offices including Scottsdale, AZ. PE license and strong project management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred, or equivalent.
• PE license required; ability to obtain additional state licensure.
• 5+ years of civil engineering experience in an engineering or construction firm.
• 5+ years of site development design experience.
• Proven track record of successful project management and client relationship management.
• Experience leading Engineering function as SME; hands-on contributor.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction plans, feasibility reports, cost estimates, drainage reports and other project documents with little supervision.
• Coordinate with review agencies, clients, and sub-consultants for permit applications.
• Prepare grading plans, profiles, road design and details using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Research regulatory requirements and design standards.
• Perform calculations for storm water facilities, utilities, roadways.
• Work with drafters, designers, and staff to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Prepare site development plans for residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use projects.
• Update and manage spreadsheets, task lists, memos, and internal program materials.
• Support project administration: new project numbers, billing reports, contracts, invoices follow-up.
• Participate in meetings to review updates and take notes.
• Other duties as assigned.
