Job summary

Zaddy Solutions in Nashville is seeking an experienced Civil Preconstruction Estimator to lead our Preconstruction Department. You will analyze drawings, prepare detailed estimates, and drive bid processes for civil projects to help win work and guide execution.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience as an estimator in civil construction.
Proven track record estimating a range of civil projects (excavation, sitework, utilities).
Proficient in Bid-To-Win, HeavyBid, AutoCAD, AGTEK and Excel.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Eye for detail is absolutely essential.

Responsibilities

Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
Orchestrate the estimating & bid processes for civil projects.
Identify labor, materials, and time requirements by studying proposals and plans.
Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
Prepare bid packages and present final estimates to senior management.
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary.
Provide value engineering recommendations.
Maintain historical cost data and develop estimating templates and tools.
