CareerNerds, LLC in Nashville, TN seeks an experienced Civil Preconstruction Estimator to lead our Construction Precon Department. The role involves analyzing drawings, preparing detailed cost estimates, and orchestrating bid processes for civil projects to win work and guide project execution.

You will solicit subcontractor quotes, present final estimates to senior management, attend pre-bid meetings, and contribute value engineering ideas while maintaining cost data and templates.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of experience as an estimator in the civil construction industry.
• Proven track record estimating a range of civil projects (excavation, sitework, utilities).
• Proficient in Bid-To-Win, HeavyBid, AutoCAD, AGTEK, Excel.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Eye for Detail is absolutely essential.

Aufgaben

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Orchestrate the estimating & bid processes for our civil projects.
• Identify labor, materials, and time requirements by studying proposals and plans.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare bid packages and present final estimates to senior management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary.
• Provide value engineering recommendations.
• Maintain historical cost data and develop estimating templates and tools.
