Job summary

Connectly Recruiting in Nashville seeks an experienced Civil Preconstruction Estimator to lead our preconstruction department. You will analyze drawings/specs, manage bid processes, and provide detailed cost estimates to help win projects.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in civil estimation, proficiency with Bid-To-Win/HeavyBid/AutoCAD/AGTEK/Excel, and strong communication to coordinate with subs and vendors.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as estimator in civil construction.
• Proven track record estimating excavation, sitework & utilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Eye for detail is essential.
• Proficient in Bid-To-Win, HeavyBid, AutoCAD, AGTEK, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specs to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Manage and orchestrate estimating and bid processes for civil projects.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Provide value engineering recommendations.
• Prepare bid packages and present final estimates to senior management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary.
• Maintain historical cost data and develop estimating templates and tools.
