Job summary

The Addison Group is seeking a Civil Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling catastrophic injury and medical malpractice cases in Philadelphia. This hybrid, direct-hire role offers ownership of cases from intake through settlement or trial and a competitive $65,000 to $80,000 salary based on experience.

You will draft pleadings and briefs, develop the medical narrative from records, manage deadlines, and file electronically in PA courts, while working closely with trial counsel on

Qualifications

• 2+ years of civil litigation paralegal experience, personal injury or catastrophic injury preferred.
• Strong medical malpractice experience is a big plus.
• Trial experience strongly preferred.
• Hands-on drafting of pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Pennsylvania e-filing experience.
• Case management software experience (Filevine a plus).
• Paralegal certificate or Bachelor’s degree.
• Sharp attention to detail and a strong handle on deadlines.
• Current evening law students are welcome to apply.

• Draft the documents that move cases forward. Write pleadings, motions, and briefs that attorneys rely on in court, not just templates you fill in.
• Build the medical story. Collect, review, and summarize complex medical records that become the backbone of catastrophic injury and med mal claims.
• Run the clock. Manage court deadlines, filings, and scheduling across an active caseload so nothing slips.
• File with confidence. Handle electronic filing in Pennsylvania state courts from start to finish.
• Dig into the research. Perform legal research and document review that sharpen case strategy.
• Be in the room when it counts. Help prepare exhibits and trial materials, and support the attorneys through trial.

An Addison Group client, a Philadelphia plaintiff-side litigation firm, is hiring two Civil Litigation Paralegals to support attorneys handling catastrophic injury and medical malpractice cases. This isn’t a file-pushing role. You’ll own your cases across the full lifecycle, from intake through settlement or trial, and work directly alongside the attorneys trying them.
