Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Paralegal to take on a key leadership role within a busy plaintiff-side Personal Injury practice. This position is ideal for an accomplished Personal Injury Paralegal who has managed cases throughout the litigation lifecycle and is ready to take on increased responsibility, including oversight and mentorship of other paralegals.

The Senior Paralegal will combine hands-on casework with team leadership, helping manage workflow, establish best practices, and ensure cases progress efficiently. This individual will also work closely with firm leadership on the continued development of the Personal Injury practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to the Personal Injury Paralegal team.
  • Monitor caseloads, workflow, staffing needs, and department priorities.
  • Coach and mentor paralegals while helping establish consistent processes and procedures.
  • Manage plaintiff-side Personal Injury matters throughout the litigation process, including complex or escalated cases.

  • 5+ years of plaintiff-side Personal Injury paralegal experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing Personal Injury litigation from complaint filing through trial preparation.
  • Strong working knowledge of Illinois state and federal court rules and procedures.
  • Extensive experience with complaint preparation and filing, service of process, discovery, and litigation case management.
  • Previous leadership, mentoring, training, or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to successfully manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Confident, proactive approach with an interest in taking ownership and leading others.
  • Target start date is ASAP.
  • Opportunity to step into a true leadership role rather than a traditional individual-contributor paralegal position.
  • Join a growing law firm with opportunities to take on increased responsibility as the practice expands.
  • Direct partnership with senior firm leadership.
  • Supportive, team-focused work environment.
  • Stable organization with more than a decade in business and continued growth.
