Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP), a landmark U.S. infrastructure initiative. You will join a multidisciplinary team responsible for design reviews, construction support, and interface management across HTP packages.

The role emphasizes hydrology, hydraulics, and regulatory compliance, with opportunities to influence schedule, cost, and risk on a nationally significant program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in NJ or NY preferred.
• 5–10 years of civil, water resources, or environmental engineering experience.
• Experience on large infrastructure or transportation projects.
• Proficiency with BIM, AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design reviews and coordinate design change documentation.
• Provide technical support during construction and monitor milestones.
• Facilitate stakeholder communication and project documentation.
• Analyze constructability and schedule impacts of technical decisions.
• Support integration and interface management across HTP packages.
• Contribute to project controls: schedule, cost, risk, and change management.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly reports including safety and environmental status.
• Maintain lessons learned and issues log for the HTP.
