Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer to support the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project in the United States. The role focuses on field supervision, compliance, documentation, quality assurance, and coordination to ensure successful package delivery under regulatory requirements.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering a nationally significant infrastructure program, including a new two-track tunnel and rehabilitation of an aging tunnel, serving Amtrak and NJ TRANSIT

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in construction management, field engineering, or inspection on large-scale infrastructure or transportation projects.

Responsibilities

Assist with site supervision and field management of construction activities.
Ensure compliance with project plans, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Document daily construction activities, including safety, quality, and environmental aspects.
Support precondition surveys, mitigation planning, and punch-list resolution.
Develop and maintain project controls including schedule, cost, and documentation.
Coordinate with management, contractors, and stakeholders; prepare technical reports and meeting minutes.
Support safety management plans and incident response.
Assist with close-out activities and asset information as construction completes.
