Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) invites motivated students to join our Summer 2027 Internships across several locations and departments. You will gain hands-on experience in construction materials testing and field observations, working with our engineers and technicians to apply testing procedures and learn from real-world projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pursuing Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related degree expected.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Ability to frequently lift and carry 30-50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in testing procedures and equipment (gradations, proctors, nuclear density gauges, DCP field testing, sand cone density testing, field and concrete testing).
• Conduct field testing and observations of concrete, soils, aggregate, masonry, asphalt, and reinforcing steel.
• Communicate with project managers, clients, and contractors at job sites.
• Perform miscellaneous assignments as needed.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Pursuing Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering degree
