Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) seeks motivated students for Summer 2027 Internships across Civil Engineering and Geology fields. Interns gain hands-on experience in construction materials testing, field observations, and real-world project involvement alongside our engineers and technicians.

You will participate in testing procedures, learn gradations, proctor tests, nuclear density gauges, DCP testing, and field concrete testing while receiving mentorship and cross-disciplinary exposure

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pursuing Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related degree.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift and carry 30–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in testing procedures and equipment including gradations, proctors, nuclear density gauges, DCP field testing.
• Conduct field testing and observations of concrete, soils, aggregate, masonry, asphalt, and reinforcing steel.
• Communicate with project managers, clients, and contractors at worksites.
• Additional miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis.
