Job summary

AET, American Engineering Testing, invites motivated students to Summer 2027 internships across multiple locations. You will gain hands-on experience alongside engineers and technicians in construction materials testing and field observations.

Participate in real-world projects, assisting tests such as gradations, density tests, field testing of concrete and soils, and reporting to project managers, while receiving mentorship and cross-disciplinary exposure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pursuing a Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related degree.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift and carry 30-50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in testing procedures and equipment such as gradations, proctors, nuclear density gauges, DCP field testing, sand cone density testing, field concrete testing, and concrete cylinder testing.
• Conduct field testing and observations of construction materials, including concrete, soils, aggregate, masonry, asphalt, and reinforcing steel.
• Communicate with project managers, clients, and contractors at work sites.
• Additional miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis.
