Job summary

Parkhill, a leading architectural and engineering firm, is seeking a part-time, non-exempt intern to support engineers and the project team. Under close supervision, you will assist with graphic materials, design sketches, study materials and permit applications.

This role emphasizes learning through practical tasks such as quantity takeoffs, cost estimates and basic design calculations, and offers exposure to CAD tools and office software.

Qualifications

• Student status in Civil Engineering or related discipline at an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Assists with construction phase services as directed by project engineer.
• Assists with checking engineering calculations.
• Assists with quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and basic design calculations.
• Assists in preparing marketing proposals.
• Assists in collecting field data and test samples.
• Assists in maintaining the technical library.
• Performs routine filing and delivery of documents.
• Proficient in the use of computers, computer aided design and other relevant software and hardware tools.
• Other duties may be assigned.
