Job summary

Parkhill is seeking a part-time, non-exempt Engineering support intern in Norman, OK. You will assist project engineers with routine tasks, including design sketches, quantity takeoffs, and field data collection, paid on an hourly basis.

Ideal candidates are Civil Engineering students enrolled in an accredited program, with basic CAD and computing skills. This role supports engineers, CAD supervisors, and project teams in preparing permits and marketing materials.

Qualifications

• Student status in Civil Engineering or related discipline at an accredited college/university.

Responsibilities

• Assists with construction phase services as directed by project engineer.
• Assists with checking engineering calculations.
• Assists with fundamental project tasks such as quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and basic design calculations.
• Assists in preparing marketing proposals.
• Assists in collecting field data and test samples.
• Assists in maintaining the technical library.
• Performs routine filing and delivery of documents.
• Proficient in the use of computers, computer aided design and other relevant software and hardware tools.
