Job summary

Parkhill is seeking a part-time, non-exempt civil engineering intern to support project teams under close supervision. This role involves assisting with basic design calculations, quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and preparing graphic materials and permit applications.

You will gain hands-on experience using CAD and other engineering software while learning from engineers and the CADD supervisor. If you are a civil engineering student at an accredited college, this opportunity offers exposure

Qualifications

• Student status in Civil Engineering or an appropriate related discipline at an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Assists with construction phase services as directed by project engineer.
• Assists with checking engineering calculations.
• Assists with fundamental project tasks such as quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and basic design calculations.
• Assists in preparing marketing proposals.
• Assists in collecting field data and test samples.
• Assists in maintaining the technical library.
• Performs routine filing and delivery of documents.
• Proficient in the use of computers, computer aided design and other relevant software and hardware tools.
