Job summary

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for summer 2027 in Rockville, Maryland. This internship offers exposure to traffic studies, water, storm and sanitary sewer projects, site and roadway plans, and construction documentation under supervision.

You will interact with multiple departments, assist with CAD design, site grading, and field inspections while building foundational skills for a civil engineering career within Bowman’s collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; enrolled in related program or continuing education preferred.
• Focus on civil engineering or related discipline is strongly preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid state driver's license.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of project scope including site grading, CAD design, drainage and traffic studies, and construction documentation.
• Assist with field inspections and construction administration (RFI/Submittal) responsibilities.
• Collaborate with multiple departments and teams within Bowman to support intern program learning.
