Job summary

Bowman in Rockville, Maryland seeks a Civil Engineering Intern for summer 2027 to gain hands-on experience in traffic, water, stormwater, and sanitary sewer studies, as well as site and roadway planning.

Under supervision, you will assist with grading, erosion control, CAD drafting, and construction administration duties, while interacting with multiple departments and peers to develop professionally in a supportive intern program.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a civil engineering or related program or have equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site grading, erosion and sediment control design, CAD drafting, and utility design.
• Assist with field inspections and construction administration responsibilities (RFI/Submittal).
• Collaborate with multiple departments and participate in intern program development.
• Support project scope tasks including traffic, water, storm and sanitary sewer studies, and site plans.
