Job summary

Bowman Consulting in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to contribute to site plans, roadway concepts, and water and stormwater studies under supervision. You will gain hands-on experience in CAD design, field inspections, and construction administration while supporting a team in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Enrolled in community college or degree program.
• Civil engineering or related discipline preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must hold a valid state driver’s license and pass a motor vehicle check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site grading, erosion and sediment control design, CAD design and drafting, storm water management design, water treatment, traffic analysis and/or utility design.
• Assist with field inspections.
• Observe and participate in construction administration (RFI/Submittal) responsibilities.
• Interact with multiple departments and peers and participate in intern program opportunities.
