Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. in San Diego, CA is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our team.

This internship focuses on introducing design and development of traffic studies, water and sewer planning, site plans, and roadway designs for construction. The role offers hands-on learning through direct supervision and cross-department collaboration, with opportunities to participate in field inspections and construction administration tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent commensurate experience required.
• Enrolled in community college courses, a college degree program, or formal continuing education program.
• Focus on civil engineering or related discipline is strongly preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must hold a valid state driver's license and successfully pass a motor vehicle check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site grading, erosion and sediment control design, CAD design and drafting, storm water management design, water treatment, traffic analysis and/or utility design.
• Assist with field inspections.
• Observe and participate in construction administration (RFI/Submittal) responsibilities.
