Job summary

Tighe & Bond in Westwood, MA offers a Civil Engineering Intern or Co-op role on the Site Civil Design Team. You will work hybrid, supporting NE infrastructure projects while learning from experienced engineers in a collaborative environment.

You’ll use AutoCAD and related tools, perform calculations, and prepare technical documents as part of a structured internship with growth opportunities within an employee-owned firm.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s program pursuing a degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Previous and relevant work experience
• Intellectual curiosity and a desire to solve engineering problems
• Flexibility, a positive attitude, and open-mindedness

Responsibilities

• Research, compile, and examine a wide variety of project-related data
• Assist staff with various projects and/or field assignments
• Perform computer-aided drafting tasks and create basic plans in AutoCAD
• Perform engineering calculations under the direction of an engineer
• Prepare written communications including emails, memorandum, field reports, and specifications
