Job summary

Bohler's Warrenton, VA office seeks a motivated Civil Engineering Intern (Land Development) for Summer 2027 to learn real-world site design and permitting. Work with senior engineers to design concepts, grading, stormwater, and utility layouts using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

You will participate in team meetings, visit project sites, and gain exposure to the full site development process from concept to construction while receiving mentorship and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D; training provided if not proficient.
• Effective written and verbal communication; collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in site design and land development with mentors.
• Learn the stages of land development from concept to construction.
• Assist in design and permitting of commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use projects.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to advance projects.
• Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
• Visit sites to observe field conditions and observe engineering processes.
