Job summary

Bohler's Towson, MD office is seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Intern (Land Development) for Summer 2027 to gain real-world experience in site design and permitting while collaborating with seasoned engineers and project managers.

You will work hands-on with AutoCAD Civil 3D, support the design from concept through construction, and participate in team meetings, field visits, and zoning research to learn the full land development process.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and in a team.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred; training available.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site design and permitting processes.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to support concept, grading, stormwater and utility plans.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project managers.
• Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
• Visit sites to observe field conditions and learn the engineering workflow.
