Job summary

Bohler's Raleigh, NC office is seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Intern (Land Development) for Summer 2027 to gain hands-on experience on real site design projects. You will work with engineers, designers, and PMs, gaining exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D design tasks such as concept and grading plans, stormwater and utility layouts, and permitting support.

Enrollment in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering programs is required, along with strong communication and a proactive,

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D (training provided if not yet proficient).
• Curiosity and motivation to learn within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Interest in civil site design, land development, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site design tasks under supervision.
• Support grading, stormwater, and utility plan production.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and PMs to move projects forward.
• Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
• Visit sites to observe field conditions and learn the development process.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute design ideas.
