Job summary

Dashiell Corporation is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join a project team and assist with engineering and design duties under close supervision. The role will build foundational knowledge in civil and structural design, with exposure to wind load calculations, standards, and field sites.

You will learn, under mentorship, how to apply engineering principles, document management practices, and corporate standards while traveling to project sites as required.

Qualifications

• Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university is required.
• Power focus is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a project team to create or modify civil and structural design documents and drawings under direct supervision.
• Perform engineering support tasks such as wind load calculations and structural analysis with minimal supervision.
• Learn and apply engineering standards including NESC, IEEE, ANSI, AISC and ACI.
• Spend time at job sites to gain hands‑on knowledge and additional training in substation construction and design.
• Take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of your work.
• Travel out of town for short periods as required by projects.
