Job summary

Bohler in Harrisburg, PA invites a motivated Civil Engineering Intern (Land Development) for Summer 2027 to gain hands-on experience from concept to construction. You will design with AutoCAD Civil 3D and support permitting for diverse developments.

You will work alongside engineers, designers, and PMs, learn the land development process, and receive mentorship and exposure to real client work in a collaborative office environment.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Eng or related field.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter attitude; able to work both independently and with a team.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D; training provided if not proficient.
• Curiosity and motivation to learn in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Interest in civil site design and land development.

Responsibilities

• Support land development and site design projects.
• Learn stages of land development and site design processes.
• Assist in creating concept, grading, stormwater, and utility plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to drive projects forward.
• Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
