Job summary

Bohler’s office in Fairfield, CT is seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Intern (Land Development) eager to learn, grow, and contribute to real-world site design projects. As a Summer 2027 intern, you will gain insight into the daily operations of a civil engineering firm and understand the complete site development process, from concept to construction.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D (training provided when needed).

Responsibilities

• Experience the day-to-day operations of a civil engineering and site design firm.
• Learn the stages of the land development and site design process.
• Enhance technical skills with hands-on use of AutoCAD Civil 3D to design concept, grading, stormwater, and utility plans.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to drive projects forward.
• Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
