Job summary

Bohler's Fairfield, CT office seeks a motivated Civil Engineering Intern (Land Development) for Summer 2027 to gain real-world site design experience and mentorship. You will work with engineers and project managers on commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments, applying AutoCAD Civil 3D in design and permitting.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter attitude with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred; training provided if not yet proficient).

Responsibilities

• Assist in site design and land development projects from concept to construction.
• Learn stages of land development and site design processes.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to support concept, grading, stormwater, and utility plans.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to drive projects forward.
• Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
• Visit sites to observe field conditions and participate in team meetings.
