Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering students to join our Dallas Downtown, Texas office in 2027 as interns. This is not a remote position, and interns will work on real project deliverables under supervision.

You will gain hands-on experience in civil and environmental design, analysis, permitting, and coordination with project managers across disciplines, learning software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, GIS, and more.

Qualifications

Pursuing an ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelor's or Master's).
Majors include Civil and Environmental, Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

Utilize technical software programs to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
Contribute to pre-construction civil design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
Solve problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions.
Develop familiarity with regulations and Kimley-Horn's practices, standards, and procedures.
Interns will learn software programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS.
