Job summary

Kimley-Horn is looking for Engineering students to join our Denton, Texas office. This internship is not remote and offers hands-on experience in civil and environmental engineering, with exposure to AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, and GIS.

Interns will support design, analysis, and permitting activities, collaborating with project managers and across disciplines as they learn the regulatory landscape and Kimley-Horn practices.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABET-accredited engineering program.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil/environmental or related fields.
• Progress toward degree with relevant coursework.

Responsibilities

• Utilize software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
• Support pre-construction civil design, planning, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
• Collaborate across disciplines to realize clients' visions for built environments.
• Learn regulations, procedures, and standards applicable to Kimley-Horn projects.

Education

ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering; Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering; Engineering Technology
