Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering students to join our Fort Worth, TX office as interns. This is not a remote position and offers exposure to civil and environmental design, planning, and analysis within active projects.

Interns will work with experienced engineers, learn regulatory practices, and gain proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS on real client tasks.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing an ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters).
  • Majors include Civil or Environmental Engineering; Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering.
  • Engineering Technology degree is acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and QC client deliverables.
  • Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, permitting, and analysis.
  • Assist project managers and collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions.
  • Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations and company standards.
  • Interns will learn software programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS.
