Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering students to join our Childress, Texas office. This internship is on-site and focuses on learning and applying engineering fundamentals across civil disciplines.

Interns will gain hands-on experience with software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, MicroStation, and GIS, while contributing to multi-project design, analysis, and permitting efforts under supervision.

Qualifications

• Pursuing ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters).
• Majors include Civil/Environmental Engineering or related fields.
• Engineering Technology also acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, produce, and QC deliverables using technical software.
• Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design and permitting.
• Collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions for built environments.
• Learn regulations and Kimley-Horn practices and standards.
• Familiarize with software tools used in the disciplines (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, etc.).
