Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering student interns for our Childress, Texas office. This on-site internship focuses on supporting pre-construction civil engineering design, regulatory compliance, and deliverable QC across multiple projects.

You will gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, and related tools while collaborating with project managers and disciplines to translate client visions into build-ready plans.

Qualifications

• Pursuing ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters).
• Majors include Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
• Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions.
• Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations and with Kimley-Horn’s practices and standards.
• Interns will learn software programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, MicroStation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS.
