Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) invites motivated students to join our Summer 2027 Internship program across multiple locations. Interns will gain hands-on experience with materials testing and field observations under experienced engineers and technicians.

You will participate in real-world projects, learn testing methods (gradation, proctor, nuclear density, DCP, sand cone, concrete testing), and receive mentorship to support academic and career growth in civil/geological engineering.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pursuing Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering or related degree.
• Valid driver''s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift and carry 30-50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in testing procedures and equipment such as gradations, proctors, nuclear density gauges, DCP field testing, sand cone density testing, field concrete testing, and concrete cylinder testing.
• Conduct field testing and observations of construction materials including concrete, soils, aggregate, masonry, asphalt, and reinforcing steel.
• Communicate with project managers, clients, and contractors at work sites.
• Additional miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis.
