Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Dallas, TX to support the Transportation market with entry-level design and project tasks. You will assist with data collection, documentation, and preparing presentations under supervision, gaining exposure to civil engineering workflows.

The program emphasizes collaboration, communication, and a strong work ethic, with opportunities to develop technical skills through real project work and campus involvement requirements.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks applying standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Assist lead engineers with project duties.
• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation, PowerPoint presentations.
• Research solutions and present findings to team.
• Participate in ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
