Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Houston, TX is seeking an Engineering Intern to assist lead engineers across construction and design tasks. You will apply standard engineering techniques, update designs, and support diverse project duties within the Construction market segment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to the department work.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead engineers with project duties and update/correct designs.
• Perform tasks applying standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Support the Construction group with safety, health, estimating, pre-construction, field operations, quality and project management.
