Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Houston, TX. You will assist with design tasks, data collection, and project support in Transmission & Distribution. Strong communication, problem solving, and leadership skills help you contribute to real projects.

Qualifications include pursuing a Civil or Structural Eng degree, ABET accreditation preferred, and prior internship exposure. On-campus/community involvement is encouraged, with a 401(k) and benefits support for interns.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Active campus or community involvement encouraged.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
